हालांकि, जब स्थानीय लोगों और मीडियाकर्मियों ने कथित कार्यस्थल का दौरा किया, तो उन्हें वहां कोई पुलिया या निर्माण कार्य का कोई संकेत नहीं मिला। गांव में ग्रामीणों ने भी इस तरह के किसी कार्य के होने से इनकार किया। ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि उनके गांव में ऐसी कोई पुलिया का निर्माण नहीं हुआ है और न ही उन्होंने इस संबंध में कोई श्रमिक कार्य करते देखा है।
इस मामले ने मनरेगा योजनाओं में पारदर्शिता और जवाबदेही पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। 3.83 लाख रुपये की बड़ी राशि का भुगतान बिना किसी वास्तविक कार्य के कैसे हो गया, यह जांच का विषय है। इस तरह की अनियमितताएं न केवल सरकारी धन का दुरुपयोग हैं, बल्कि ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में रोजगार सृजन और विकास के उद्देश्य को भी कमजोर करती हैं।
