On the occasion of Bihar Earth Day, a significant environmental protection and awareness program was organized at Brahm Sthan, Tetarpur Road, in Mohiuddin Nagar North Panchayat of Samastipur district. This event was part of the 'Single-Use Plastic Free Bihar' campaign, led by social worker Bhai Randhir and presided over by former मुखिया Ram Udgar Rai.

The primary objective of the program was to raise awareness among people about environmental conservation and the harms caused by the increasing use of single-use plastic. A neem sapling was planted to convey the message of environmental protection. During the seminar, speakers emphasized the importance of trees and plants, stating that they are crucial for human life and the Earth's balance. They expressed concern over the negative impacts of increasing pollution and indiscriminate tree felling on the environment, stressing that planting and caring for more trees is everyone's responsibility.

Bhai Randhir elaborated on the detrimental effects of single-use plastic. He stated that plastic poses a serious threat to the environment as it does not decompose easily, leading to soil, water, and air pollution. Plastic waste entering rivers and other water bodies also adversely affects aquatic life. He urged people to reduce their daily use of plastic and adopt eco-friendly alternatives like cloth or paper bags.

Dozens of attendees pledged not to use single-use plastic, to raise awareness among others, and to play an active role in environmental protection. Everyone took an oath to contribute to creating a plastic-free society and a clean, green environment. Many villagers and social workers, including Nand Kishor Kapar, Ashok Singh, teacher Ajay Kumar Singh, Amarnath Rai, Barun Kumar Singh, Mahesh Kumar, Shivshankar Thakur, and Lalo Paswan, were present at the event.
