Residents of Gurudev Tola, Ward 2, in Mokama, Patna district, are facing significant challenges due to a lack of basic civic amenities. The main lane of the locality has been in a dilapidated state for a long time, leading to frequent accidents for pedestrians and vehicle users. During the monsoon season, the situation worsens as the lane fills with water, making it extremely difficult to navigate through the potholes.

Furthermore, most of the streetlights in Gurudev Tola have been non-functional for several months. As evening falls, the entire locality plunges into darkness, increasing the risk of thefts and other anti-social activities. Frustrated by these ongoing issues, a group of local residents approached the Mokama Nagar Parishad office. They submitted a memorandum outlining their grievances and demanded immediate action.

Executive Officer Santosh Kumar Rajak listened attentively to the residents' complaints. He assured them that improving civic amenities is his top priority. Rajak stated that the faulty streetlights in Gurudev Tola would be replaced soon, and the repair work for the broken lane would also commence shortly, aiming to alleviate the residents' hardships.
