In Mukimpur village, under Barh police station in Patna district, 29-year-old Dashrath Yadav was injured in a shooting that erupted over a land dispute on Wednesday night. Following the incident, his family and villagers immediately rushed him to the hospital for treatment. The village remains tense in the aftermath of the shooting.

Family members stated that Dashrath Yadav had no personal disputes with anyone. They allege that the firing occurred due to an ongoing land dispute between two factions in the village, and Dashrath became an unintended victim. According to villagers, there is a vacant plot of land belonging to Namo Mian, over which a long-standing dispute exists between two parties vying for control. Currently, Hanuman Yadav occupies the land, where a milk center operates. One faction demands the land be used for public purposes, while the other seeks to maintain its possession.

Family members further informed that Dashrath had returned home from Surat approximately three months prior. On Wednesday night, after dinner, he went outside to move cows when the firing began, and he sustained a gunshot wound. While some villagers have accused certain individuals of firing, the police have not yet officially confirmed the identity of the culprits or the precise reason for the shooting. The police are actively investigating the matter.
