A tragic road accident in Moradabad has cast a pall of gloom over Ptarghat village in Saharsa district, Bihar. Two cousins, 32-year-old Manish Kumar Yadav and 28-year-old Rakesh Kumar Yadav, lost their lives in the incident. Their bodies were brought to their native village Ptarghat on Thursday, where the sight of two funeral pyres simultaneously plunged the entire village into sorrow.

According to information, Manish and Rakesh were both residing in Moradabad for employment. On Wednesday evening, they were returning after attending a friend's wedding when the horrific road accident occurred. The collision was so severe that both died on the spot. Moradabad police sent the bodies for post-mortem and then informed the families.

When the bodies of the two brothers arrived in Ptarghat village on Thursday, chaos erupted. The wails of the family members made the atmosphere even more somber. The eyes of the villagers were moist. The entire village was in shock over the loss of two young lives at once. Villagers describe both brothers as very hardworking and friendly.

A heartbreaking scene unfolded during the last rites when the sisters of both brothers performed the 'mukhagni' (lighting the pyre). This was contrary to tradition, where usually men perform this ritual, but in this tragic hour, the sisters set an example by giving their brothers a final farewell. Everyone present was moved to tears by this sight. A wave of mourning has swept through Ptarghat village, and everyone is stunned by this unexpected event.
