Motihari police have made a significant seizure, confiscating 350 liters of foreign liquor. The consignment was being brought from Rajasthan and was intended for distribution in various parts of Bihar via Motihari. One smuggler has been arrested in connection with the case, while others involved are still at large and a search operation is underway.

Acting on a tip-off, a special team was formed under the direction of the Superintendent of Police. Surveillance was intensified on various potential routes. Following an intensive search and cordon, the police team intercepted a vehicle transporting the illegal liquor. Upon searching the vehicle, 350 liters of foreign liquor were recovered. The estimated market value of the seized liquor is reported to be in lakhs of rupees.

Interrogation of the arrested smuggler has revealed crucial information. He disclosed that the consignment originated from Rajasthan and was destined for distribution in Motihari and neighboring districts. Police are now working to identify and apprehend other members of this syndicate. This incident once again highlights the active network of liquor smugglers operating despite the liquor ban in Bihar. The police stated that they are continuously conducting operations to curb such activities and will continue to do so in the future. This action has created a stir among liquor smugglers.
