Motihari District Magistrate (DM) Saurabh Jorwal has expressed strong displeasure over the slow pace of various overbridge construction projects in the district. He issued a stern warning that if the construction work does not accelerate as expected, strict action will be taken against the concerned executive agencies and officials. The DM has directed all relevant departments to immediately remove obstacles hindering construction and complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe.

During a meeting, DM Saurabh Jorwal emphasized that overbridge projects are crucial for the district's development and traffic management. Any delay in these projects causes inconvenience to the general public and leads to a waste of government resources. He specifically highlighted projects where progress has been unsatisfactory. The DM instructed executive engineers to personally inspect construction sites and submit daily progress reports.

The meeting also decided that the district administration would provide full support to resolve any issues arising during construction, such as land acquisition, encroachment removal, or utility shifting (relocation of electricity poles, water pipelines, etc.). However, concerned agencies must report these problems promptly. The DM made it clear that even with cooperation, if there are delays, the full responsibility will lie with the respective agency and its officials. He warned officials that no excuses would be accepted, and special attention must be paid to both quality and timeliness. This strict stance aims to ensure that development projects in Motihari are completed without unnecessary delays, benefiting the public.
