Police in Motihari, East Champaran district, have successfully busted a mini gun factory, leading to the recovery of a large cache of arms and ammunition. During the raid, over 500 live cartridges, several semi-finished pistols, and various weapon-manufacturing tools were seized. Four individuals have also been arrested in connection with the operation.

The police received a tip-off about an illegal arms manufacturing unit operating in a rural area of Motihari. Acting on this intelligence, a special team was formed under the direction of the Superintendent of Police. The team conducted a targeted raid on the identified location, catching four individuals red-handed who were actively involved in the manufacturing process.

Interrogations of the arrested suspects are ongoing to uncover further links in this illicit network and identify other individuals involved. Authorities suspect that this gang was supplying weapons not only locally but also to neighboring districts. The seized items include country-made pistols, crude firearms (kattas), and their respective cartridges, along with manufacturing equipment such as drill machines, lathe machine parts, and other tools.

This bust is considered a significant achievement for the East Champaran police, as it is expected to help curb crime in the region. The Superintendent of Police affirmed that the campaign against illegal arms manufacturing and trafficking will continue, and all such hideouts will be dismantled. The public has been urged to report any suspicious activities to the police immediately.
