Munger District Magistrate Nikhil Dhanraj Nippanikar visited Tarapur on Wednesday to review various ongoing development projects and conduct on-site inspections, following directives from the Chief Minister. He inspected the Saraswati Vidya Niketan (Model School) in Launa, where he interacted with students to understand the educational system and available facilities. The DM also taught the children and inquired about their studies.

The District Magistrate informed that all 23 model schools in the district were inspected by senior officials on Wednesday. Parent-Teacher Meetings were also held in these schools, where feedback was collected from parents and students regarding improvements in academics, infrastructure, and other facilities since the model schools began functioning. Discussions also focused on how to provide better facilities to children and career guidance and counseling.

The DM stated that efforts are underway to enhance the education system in model schools, aligning with the Chief Minister's vision. All senior officials in the district have adopted one model school each, and the DM himself has adopted the model school in Launa. He committed to overseeing and regularly monitoring the school to ensure the best possible education for its students.

Furthermore, the District Magistrate inspected the proposed site for land acquisition for the international airport in the Tarapur-Asarganj area, gathering information on related tasks from officials. He also surveyed the Lakhanpur and Tarapur market areas concerning the proposed four-laning project of SH-22 from Sultanganj to Belhar. During this inspection, the status of structures to be removed and the land required for road widening in the market area were assessed. Local SDM Mahesh Kumar, CO, BDO, and other officials were present during the visit.
