Allegations have surfaced in Munger district regarding the non-registration of a First Information Report (FIR) after the seizure of country-made liquor. A video, widely circulated on social media, has raised questions about the conduct of the Mufassil police station. Taking the matter seriously, Superintendent of Police (SP) Syed Imran Masood has ordered an investigation.

The incident reportedly occurred in the Sitacharan Diara area, across the Ganges. According to information, on September 18, Mufassil police raided the area and seized illegal country liquor. The viral video shows several police personnel transporting the seized liquor by boat. Local residents claim that despite the seizure, no FIR has been registered in the case to date. However, this will only be confirmed after the completion of the investigation.

SP Syed Imran Masood has assigned the responsibility of investigating this matter to Headquarters DSP Arjun Gupta. The investigation team will thoroughly examine the authenticity of the viral video, the liquor seizure operation, and the role of the police personnel involved. Additionally, the team will scrutinize the paperwork related to the seized liquor and the procedures followed during the operation.

Police officials state that the situation will become clear only after the investigation report is submitted. If the video and the allegations are found to be true, and any disregard for rules is uncovered during the operation, appropriate action will be taken against the implicated police officers and personnel. Allegations of police involvement in the illegal liquor trade have been made in the district since the liquor ban. The truth in this specific case will emerge after the investigation.
