Two youths died in a tragic road accident on Thursday evening in Muradpur village, under Rosera police station in Samastipur district. A speeding Bullet motorcycle collided with a bicycle from behind near a petrol pump. The deceased have been identified as Dablu Kumar, a resident of Erout Ward No. 8, and Vicky Kumar, the Bullet rider from Kariyan village. Mahesh Paswan, son of Pavitra Paswan from Muradpur village, was seriously injured and is currently undergoing treatment.

Enraged by the accident, villagers and the victims' families blocked the Rosera-Hathaudi main road near Muradpur village on Friday. The road blockade led to long queues of vehicles on both sides, disrupting traffic for over 5 hours. Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene, pacified the agitated crowd, and cleared the road. The police took Dablu Kumar's body into custody and sent it to Samastipur Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

According to local residents, the cyclist was returning home after work when the Bullet motorcycle hit him with great force. The impact was so severe that the bicycle got entangled with the bike and dragged for some distance. The police have seized the damaged Bullet motorcycle and are investigating the case. City Inspector Lalbabu Kumar and Additional Station House Officer Subhash Chandra Mandal, along with other police officials, were present at the scene. Dablu Kumar had been married only about six months ago, and his death has left his wife Priyanka Devi, mother Sita Devi, and two brothers, along with the entire family, in deep shock. Local public representatives have assured the bereaved family of government assistance.
