Muzaffarpur: Major Fire in Paroo's Kunwari Village, Two Houses Gutted, Cylinder Blasts Create Panic
A major fire broke out in Ward No. 9 of Kunwari village, under Katru Panchayat in Paroo block, Muzaffarpur district, on Tuesday afternoon due to a short circuit. The blaze quickly engulfed two houses, causing significant damage. During the incident, two domestic gas cylinders inside one of the houses exploded consecutively, leading to panic and chaos in the area. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
According to information, the fire originated from a short circuit in the house of Kamli Devi, wife of the late Rambalak Ram, a resident of Kunwari village. The sparks rapidly escalated into a massive inferno, forcing family members to flee to save their lives. Both the pucca ( Pakka) and kachcha (Kutcha) structures were affected. The subsequent explosions of two gas cylinders inside the house created loud blasts, causing widespread alarm among nearby villagers.
Locals initially attempted to extinguish the fire themselves but were unsuccessful due to its intensity. They then informed the Paroo Police Station and the Fire Department. Police and fire brigade teams promptly arrived at the scene. With the assistance of villagers, the fire department managed to bring the blaze under control after considerable effort. Paroo Station House Officer Pramod Kumar Pandey confirmed the incident, stating that the fire team acted swiftly to contain the situation.
