Preparations are underway to establish a new Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) in Sahebganj block of Muzaffarpur district. Following an assurance from the Education Minister, the Director of Secondary Education, Nitin Kumar Singh, has instructed the Additional Collector to identify suitable land for the new school. The Additional Collector is tasked with pinpointing a location in Sahebganj for the proposed KV.

Once the land is selected, a detailed proposal will be submitted to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi. The department has emphasized the need to submit the land proposal promptly to facilitate further action. This initiative is expected to benefit students from Sahebganj and surrounding rural areas by providing access to quality central education.

Currently, Muzaffarpur district has three operational Kendriya Vidyalayas. If the land selection and proposal for Sahebganj are approved, it will become the district's fourth KV. A new KV was also opened this session, temporarily operating from BB Collegiate. Furthermore, the process of selecting land for a Sainik School in the Aurai block of the district is also underway, marking another significant step towards strengthening the educational infrastructure in Muzaffarpur.
