Police in Nalanda district have arrested five individuals in connection with assault and molestation cases across various villages within the Asthawan police station area. Among those apprehended, four were involved in assault cases, while one was arrested on charges of molestation. The police are currently pursuing further legal action in all related cases.

Asthawan Station House Officer (SHO) cum Police Inspector Satyam Kumar stated that Merajul Haque, a resident of Malik Tola in Asthawan village, was arrested for assault. Additionally, Santosh Kumar, a resident of Dhobibigha village, was also taken into custody on assault charges. According to the police, a total of five accused have been arrested in connection with assault and molestation cases in the police station area. However, the names and detailed information regarding the remaining three arrested individuals have not been disclosed.
