The book ‘Tantravad Ki Darshanik Bhumi’ (The Philosophical Foundation of Tantrism) was launched on Sunday at an auditorium in Mogalkuan, Biharsharif. Written by historian and litterateur Professor (Dr.) Laxmikant Singh and Professor (Dr.) Vishram Prasad, the book aims to clarify prevalent misconceptions about Tantra Shastra and delve into its core philosophical underpinnings. Scholars lauded the work as a significant contribution to understanding Indian philosophy and its knowledge traditions.

The launch event, organized under the aegis of the literary group Shankhnaad, saw speakers emphasize the importance of research-based literature in dispelling societal myths and revealing the true essence of ancient traditions. The program began with a lamp lighting ceremony and was presided over by Professor Dr. Rajiv Ranjan of Magadh Medical College and Hospital. The proceedings were conducted by poet Navneet Krishna.

The book was jointly unveiled by chief guest Professor Dr. Debanshu Kumar, Principal of Kisan College; special guest Dhananjay Shrotriya, Director of Magahi Research and Development Institute; and co-author Professor Dr. Vishram Prasad. Dr. Debanshu Kumar highlighted Dr. Laxmikant Singh's expertise in Pali language and his extensive research in history, geography, archaeology, and literature. He noted the historical significance of Odantapuri as a Tantric center of the Vajrayana sect, making the book's launch in this region particularly meaningful. He expressed hope that the book would assist readers, researchers, and students of Indian philosophy in understanding the philosophical aspects of Tantrism and inspire new discussions.

Rakesh Bihari Sharma, General Secretary of Shankhnaad, described ‘Tantravad Ki Darshanik Bhumi’ as a rare and unique work on Tantra Shastra. He stated that it compiles and comparatively analyzes the Tantric practices of various religious sects, offering an opportunity to understand the fundamental elements of Tantrism and the spiritual methods of different traditions simultaneously.
