A major cyber fraud racket, worth crores of rupees, has been busted in Nawada district, leading to the arrest of four notorious criminals by Warisaliganj police. The police have recovered fake SIM cards, ATM cards, and other incriminating materials from their possession. This operation is considered a significant success for Nawada police in their fight against cybercrime.

Acting on a tip-off and under the directive of the Superintendent of Police, the Warisaliganj police station team conducted a raid and apprehended these criminals. It is reported that these culprits were defrauding people through various methods, including online lottery scams, impersonating bank officials, KYC update frauds, and other forms of cyber deception. A large number of mobile phones, ATM cards from various banks, SIM cards, passbooks, and other documents have been seized from them, providing strong evidence of their involvement in criminal activities.

During interrogation, several crucial details have emerged. The police are now searching for other members of their network and claim to dismantle the entire gang soon. Nawada police have also appealed to the public to be vigilant against cyber fraud, urging them not to click on unknown links or share personal or bank-related information with anyone. Any suspicious calls or messages should be immediately reported to the local police. This action is expected to help curb cybercrimes in the district and enhance public safety.

Police officials stated that this gang had spread its network across various parts of the country and had defrauded people of crores of rupees. The arrest of these criminals could also assist police forces in other states investigating similar cases.
