A shocking incident unfolded in Nawada district's Rajauli OP area where an elder brother allegedly murdered his younger brother over a land dispute. The tragic event occurred on Monday night near Rajauli market, sending shockwaves through the community. The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Dilip Kumar, while the accused elder brother is 22-year-old Ravi Kumar. In connection with the murder, police have arrested Ravi Kumar along with his parents, Umesh Singh and Geeta Devi.

According to the police, around 10 PM on Monday, Ravi Kumar purchased a knife for 50 rupees and, upon returning home, attacked his younger brother Dilip. Dilip sustained multiple stab wounds to his chest and was critically injured. Family members rushed him to the Rajauli Sub-Divisional Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Upon receiving information about the incident, Rajauli OP police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.

Preliminary investigations reveal that a long-standing dispute over land partition existed between the two brothers. The accused, Ravi Kumar, told the police that he was fed up with his younger brother Dilip, who would frequently drink alcohol, cause disturbances at home, and constantly quarrel over the land division. Ravi stated that he planned Dilip's murder due to this ongoing harassment.

Police confirmed that Ravi Kumar was arrested within hours of the incident. His parents have also been named as co-accused in the case and have been taken into custody. Police are currently interrogating all the accused, and a detailed investigation into the matter is ongoing. The incident has cast a pall of grief and fear over the entire Rajauli region.
