The body of a 28-year-old man was discovered by the roadside in Nawada district on Saturday. The incident occurred near Chatar Holt, within the Narhat police station area. The deceased has been identified as Nandu Kumar, son of Rajendra Yadav, a resident of Karma Kendua village in the Rajauli police station area.

According to family members, Nandu had left his village, Karma Kendua, to visit his maternal home in Hasapur. His body was found near Chatar Holt during this journey. Relatives strongly suspect that Nandu was murdered elsewhere and his body was then dumped at the site. Nandu's maternal uncle, Vikku Yadav, confirmed that Nandu had left home to go to his maternal grandparents' house. Nandu leaves behind his wife and three young children, plunging his family into profound grief.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Narhat Station House Officer (SHO) Gautam Kumar arrived at the scene with a police team. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination to Nawada Sadar Hospital, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter. Police are questioning local residents and examining all aspects related to the crime scene.

SHO Gautam Kumar stated that the motive behind the murder and the identities of those who committed the crime have not yet been revealed. He added that the actual cause of death would only be confirmed after the post-mortem report is received. Police are also working to ascertain with whom the young man was last seen and how he reached Chatar Holt. The police are investigating the case seriously and claim to apprehend the culprits soon.
