A significant meeting of district watchmen was held on Tuesday at Ambedkar Park in Nawada. During the meeting, watchmen extensively discussed their various issues, long-pending demands, and problems faced at their workplaces. Expressing dissatisfaction over the neglect of their demands, the watchmen decided to unite and stage a protest.

The watchmen present at the meeting highlighted that the recruitment of substitute and dependent watchmen, the benefit of Assured Career Progression (ACP), and promotion benefits are among their key pending demands. They stated that no concrete steps have been taken to address these demands so far. The watchmen also raised the issue of being allegedly forced to work against rules and facing physical exploitation, which was met with deep concern.

Attendees appealed to the state government and district administration to pay attention to their problems and resolve their pending demands. The watchmen also decided to organize a united protest to ensure their voices reach the concerned authorities. They made it clear that their struggle for their rights and resolution of their issues would continue.

Approximately 100 watchmen from the district participated in this meeting, including District Secretary Binod Kumar, District President Mohammad Shahzad Khan, District Vice President Manoj Kumar, Watchman Kishun Paswan, and Shivpujan Kumar. All participants shared their problems and agreed on collective efforts to fulfill their demands. District Secretary Binod Kumar strongly condemned the working style of the state government and district administration, emphasizing the urgent need to address the watchmen's demands.
