Madhubani: Students and local residents in Harlakhi staged a massive protest march on Friday against the NEET paper leak incident and the alleged lathi-charge on students at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and in Patna. Protesters vociferously demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and chanted slogans against the government.

The 'Akrosh March' (Anger March) commenced from Umgaon Ambedkar Chowk, proceeded to Bazar Chowk, and then returned to Ambedkar Chowk, where it transformed into a public meeting near the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial. The march was led by social workers Nishant Shekhar, Sanjeev Kumar Das, Shivchandra Mishra, Danish Iqbal, Dharmendra Das, Naval Kishore Yadav, Abhijit Kumar, Shivchandra Yadav, Raghavendra Raman, Sahid Raja, Shiv Lal Yadav, Rajendra Yadav, Madan Chandra Jha, Mukhtar, and Mohammad Alam, among other local leaders and students.

Addressing the gathering, speakers expressed deep concern over the NEET paper leak and the widespread corruption in the education system. They condemned the alleged lathi-charge on students, calling it contrary to democratic values. Speakers emphasized that students and youth would continue their struggle for a transparent examination system, better education, and adequate employment opportunities.

The demonstrators put forth several key demands, including the immediate resignation of the Education Minister, an end to the alleged lathi-charge on peaceful student protests, action against police personnel who allegedly acted against female protesters, and a thorough investigation into the alleged suppression of students in Delhi and Patna, with punitive action against responsible officials.
