The village of Khamiya in Mainatanr block, West Champaran, was plunged into mourning upon the arrival of Irshad Alam's body. Six days after his murder in Nepal, the body was handed over to his family. The sight of their son's body left his parents and sisters inconsolable, moving everyone present to tears.

Police have so far arrested five individuals in connection with the murder. Among those apprehended are the grandson of the Inarwa Panchayat Mukhiya and the son of a former PACS president. To maintain peace and order in the area following the incident, police from 10 stations have been deployed and are continuously monitoring the situation.

The sister of the deceased, Irshad Alam, has alleged that her brother was murdered due to a dispute related to drug trafficking. She claims that Irshad was killed after he refused to engage in trafficking activities. However, police have not yet confirmed this allegation and are thoroughly investigating all aspects of the case. Authorities are interrogating the arrested suspects to uncover the truth behind the incident.
