A major accident occurred on Friday on NH-31 in Begusarai district, Bihar, near the Sahebpurkamal block headquarters chowk, when three vehicles collided violently. The impact was so severe that people nearby rushed to the scene. Local residents promptly initiated rescue operations, extracting the injured from the vehicles and transporting them to the nearest Primary Health Center (PHC).

The collision led to significant traffic disruption on the route from Khagaria to Begusarai, with long queues of vehicles forming and causing considerable inconvenience to commuters. Eyewitnesses reported that the accident took place while voting for the Darbhanga graduate and teacher constituencies was underway at the Sahebpurkamal block headquarters, leading to increased movement of people in the area.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Ballia Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Ajay Kumar, Block Development Officer (BDO) Ravi Sinha, and other officials arrived at the site. They assessed the situation and arranged for a JCB to remove the damaged vehicles from the road, thereby restoring traffic flow. Normal traffic on NH-31 resumed only after the vehicles were cleared.
