A significant controversy has erupted during the election for the Vice-President post in NoKha Municipality. Elected BJP councillors have filed a complaint at NoKha Police Station, alleging that CPI(M) workers and bouncers associated with Vikas Manch obstructed their path, verbally abused them, pushed them, and threatened them.

According to the councillors' complaint, the incident occurred on September 22, 2026, around 4:30 PM, when they were proceeding to the NoKha Municipality polling station with BJP's Vice-Presidential candidate, Sitaram, to cast their votes. They were allegedly stopped near a barricade, approximately 200 meters from the polling station, close to the police station. The complaint states that a group of 13 elected councillors was present, including Sitaram, Ganpatram, Shravanram Gyani, Revantram, Dinesh Suthar, Omprakash Bhambhu, Omprakash Sihag, Mahesh Jhambar, Jaishree Bhura, Sarada, Andu Devi, Parma Devi, and Yashodadevi Bhattad.

BJP councillors have accused CPI(M) workers and Vikas Manch bouncers of blocking their way, misbehaving with them, and using casteist slurs. They also alleged that some individuals became aggressive, and female councillors were pushed and mistreated. When the councillors protested, they were allegedly threatened with not being allowed to vote.

BJP Mandal President Gangaram Pareek informed the NoKha Station House Officer (SHO) about the incident over the phone. Upon receiving the information, the SHO arrived at the scene with police force, and all 13 councillors were escorted into the polling station in the presence of the police. However, the councillors also claimed that Vikas Manch bouncers were present inside the polling station.

The BJP councillors have demanded legal action in their complaint and requested that video recordings related to the incident be included in the investigation. Police have initiated an inquiry into the allegations, and the roles of those involved and the true nature of the accusations will become clear after the investigation.
