In Patna on Tuesday, NSUI and Congress workers staged a massive protest against paper leaks in recruitment exams, corruption, and unemployment, attempting to gherao the Chief Minister's residence. During the demonstration, police used water cannons to disperse the protestors and detained several leaders.

The protest, led by the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), saw participation from various prominent student organizations and political figures. Demonstrators climbed the barricades erected by the police at JP Golambar and Income Tax Crossing, chanting slogans against the government. Students tried to break through the police cordon to advance, leading to a tense situation.

Police deployed water cannons to control the crowd, but the protestors remained defiant. Some students even sat on the road amidst the water jets, while others were seen dancing to the water stream. Following this, the police took strict action, forcibly removing students from the road and detaining several activists.

Among those who joined the students in solidarity were Purnia MP Pappu Yadav and Bihar Pradesh Congress President Rajesh Ram. Rajesh Ram was seen climbing barricades with students and shouting anti-government slogans. Pappu Yadav criticized the government and police administration, accusing them of suppressing the voices of the youth. A student named Murari expressed his frustration, stating that the media and government were ignoring their genuine demands and that students were willing to face bullets for their rights and a better future.

Besides NSUI, the protest received support from organizations like Youth Congress, AISF, Chhatra RJD, SFI, DYFI, The Great Bhim Army, Social Justice Army, AIDSO, The Socialist, and AIDYO. NSUI National President Vinod Jakhar stated that the situation regarding education, employment opportunities, law and order, and democratic rights in the state is alarming, and the movement would continue until their demands are met.
