The Padrana-Sidhuwan road in Kushinagar district is in a deplorable state, leading to frequent accidents. The road is completely dilapidated, riddled with large potholes, causing significant difficulties for commuters and drivers. Local residents allege that the Public Works Department (PWD) and concerned officials remain indifferent to the problem and have taken no steps towards its repair.

This vital road connects Padrana tehsil with Sidhuwan and several surrounding villages. Thousands of people, including students, farmers, and businessmen, use this route daily. The deep potholes on the road fill with water during the rainy season, making it difficult to gauge their depth and posing extreme danger, especially for two-wheeler riders. Vehicles often get stuck in these potholes and overturn, resulting in serious injuries.

Local resident Ramesh Kumar stated that he has repeatedly appealed to the concerned department for road repairs, but no action has been taken. He mentioned that due to the poor condition of the road, it takes twice as long to reach the market from his village, and vehicles are also sustaining damage. Another villager, Sita Devi, expressed her fear for her child's safety while going to school, as accidents occur daily on the road.

Appeals have also been made to local representatives to intervene in the matter. Villagers warn that if the road is not repaired soon, they will be forced to agitate. Their primary demand is for immediate pothole removal and quality repair of the road to ensure safe passage for everyone. A deep sense of anger prevails among the local population due to the unresolved issue.
