An absconding accused, who had been on the run for two years in connection with the Patwari recruitment examination scam, has been arrested by Rohtas police in Nokha. The accused, identified as Ravi Prakash, a resident of Dharmpura village under Nokha police station in Rohtas district, was wanted in a case related to irregularities in the Patwari recruitment examination. Police received a tip-off that Ravi Prakash had returned to his village and was visiting a religious site for 'dev darshan' (worship).

Acting swiftly on the information, a team was formed under the leadership of Nokha Police Station Head Sudhanshu Shekhar, which included Sub-Inspector Rakesh Kumar and other police personnel. The team immediately cordoned off the specified location and apprehended Ravi Prakash. Following his arrest, the accused was brought to the Nokha police station for intensive interrogation.

Nokha Police Station Head Sudhanshu Shekhar stated that Ravi Prakash was associated with a cheating syndicate involved in the Patwari recruitment examination held in Rajasthan and had evaded arrest for two years. He had been constantly changing his whereabouts to avoid apprehension. According to police records, the Rajasthan Police had also declared a reward for his capture. There was continuous coordination between Bihar Police and Rajasthan Police to apprehend such criminals.

After his arrest, the accused has been sent to judicial custody. This arrest is considered a significant success in the ongoing crackdown against irregularities in the Patwari recruitment examination. Police assert their commitment to apprehending all such absconding criminals involved in various recruitment exam malpractices. Further investigation in this matter is ongoing, and police are searching for other potential accomplices.
