A water tank constructed at an expense of millions of rupees in Ward No. 12 of Chaturbhuj Piprahi Panchayat, Khutauna Block, Madhubani district, has turned out to be a white elephant for the local villagers. Despite the significant investment and the villagers' hopes for access to clean drinking water, the tank has never become operational.

Ironically, the structure, intended for water supply, is now reportedly being used to mount loudspeakers, highlighting its complete lack of intended utility. Local residents confirm that while the tank was built, water supply has never commenced, leaving the area's water problems unresolved. Villager Ashutosh Kumar expressed disappointment, stating that the community had expected an end to their water scarcity after the tank's construction, but their hopes remain unfulfilled. Another resident, Jivach Saday, emphasized the severe inconvenience faced by villagers due to the non-availability of water.

The frustrated villagers are now appealing to the administration to intervene. They urge officials to investigate the matter thoroughly and initiate water supply as soon as possible, ensuring access to clean water and alleviating their daily struggles.
