A significant road accident occurred on the Lucknow-Ballia National Highway when a pickup truck laden with chickens collided with a DCM (a large goods carrier). The incident took place late at night, disrupting traffic on the highway for some time. According to available information, the pickup truck was traveling at high speed, lost control, and crashed into an oncoming DCM. The collision was severe, leaving the front of the pickup truck badly damaged.

Immediately after the accident, locals and other drivers rushed to the scene to assist. Fortunately, the driver of the pickup truck narrowly escaped serious injury, sustaining only minor wounds for which he received first aid. The DCM driver was unharmed. The impact scattered chickens across the road, and some perished in the accident.

Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and managed the situation. The police team began clearing the damaged vehicles from the road and restoring normal traffic flow. A long queue of vehicles had formed on the highway during this period. Police stated that the cause of the accident is under investigation, but preliminary findings suggest high speed and negligence as contributing factors. This incident once again highlights the importance of safe driving on national highways.
