A shocking incident has come to light in the Pipra police station area of East Champaran, where a husband allegedly murdered his wife by slitting her throat following a dispute at the Sitakund fair. Police on Tuesday recovered the woman's body from a sugarcane field in Tikulia village. The deceased has been identified as Rinki Kumari (25), a resident of Bherkhiya and wife of Rohit Kumar Paswan.

According to reports, Rohit Kumar Paswan had taken Rinki Kumari from her maternal home to visit the Sitakund Durga Puja fair on Monday. In the evening, a dispute broke out between the couple over some issue at the fair. It is alleged that during the argument, Rohit attacked Rinki with a knife, slitting her throat and causing her death on the spot. After the murder, the accused husband reportedly dumped the body in a sugarcane field and fled through the crowd, brandishing the knife. The incident occurred near the fair, where a large number of people were present at the time.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team led by Pipra Station House Officer Ajay Kumar Chaudhary reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem. The SHO stated that raids are being conducted to apprehend the accused husband, Rohit Kumar Paswan, and a thorough investigation into the actual reasons behind the incident is underway. The incident has caused a sensation in the area, and the police are examining various aspects of the case.
