In a disturbing incident reported from Pirpainti police station area in Bhagalpur district, a man has been arrested for allegedly threatening his wife with a country-made pistol. The incident reportedly occurred on Monday night during a domestic dispute, when the husband brandished the weapon and threatened to shoot his wife.

According to police sources, the Pirpainti police received information about the incident and took swift action. A police team immediately reached the spot and apprehended the accused husband. The country-made pistol used in the threat was also recovered from him. Police stated that preliminary investigation suggests it was a case of domestic discord that escalated to the point where the husband threatened to use a weapon.

The wife, in her statement to the police, revealed that disputes had been ongoing between them for a long time. On Monday night, the argument escalated, and the husband, in a fit of rage, pulled out the pistol and threatened to shoot her. The woman managed to save herself and informed the police. The police have registered a case against the accused husband under the Arms Act and sections related to criminal intimidation. He was sent to judicial custody on Tuesday.
