Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party has secured a remarkable victory in the by-election for the Bankipur assembly seat in Patna. He defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Neeraj Kumar Sinha, by a significant margin, thereby ending BJP's 30-year dominance over the Bankipur seat.

Following this win, Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor targeted the top leadership of BJP and NDA. He stated that this victory in Bankipur should be seen as a clear message from the people of Bihar to the senior leaders of BJP and NDA. The public believes that for the true development of the state, the government should appoint a more capable and deserving individual as Chief Minister for Bihar.

Kishor further added that it is now time to focus on the promises made to the public when the party came to power. He emphasized that the government's priorities should be crystal clear. Bihar's most urgent needs currently are improving the education system, creating new employment opportunities for youth, and halting the migration of people from the state.

Referring to the constituency's condition, Prashant Kishor noted that there haven't been any sudden major changes in Bankipur. Compared to the previous November election, when people voted BJP to victory by a massive margin of 51,000 votes, Bankipur's roads haven't deteriorated, nor have there been any significant disruptions. He questioned why, when everything else remains the same, people decided to defeat the BJP.

Kishor stated that the BJP introduced a new leadership in Bihar, which is unacceptable to the people of the state at any cost. He added that the people of Bihar are not at all comfortable with the conduct, behavior, character, and personality of that individual, which is why they expressed their displeasure by not voting for them.
