The Bihar State Primary Teachers' Association has resolved to significantly accelerate its membership drive. A recent meeting of the association concluded that more teachers need to be brought into the fold to strengthen their unity and effectively present their demands to the government. As part of this initiative, association officials and members will visit various schools and educational institutions to inform primary teachers about the association's activities and efforts to protect their interests.

Association leaders stated that the primary goal of the membership drive is to make teachers aware of their rights and provide them with a strong platform from which they can collectively raise their issues and demands. This campaign will specifically target teachers who are not yet affiliated with any teacher's union or are unaware of the association's work. The association believes that only a large and united organization can exert pressure on the government regarding teachers' pending demands, such as rectifying pay scale anomalies, improving service conditions, and reinstating the old pension scheme.

The meeting also discussed the formulation of a detailed action plan to ensure the success of this campaign. This includes appointing officials at district and block levels, distributing membership forms, and organizing awareness programs. The association's president has appealed to all primary teachers to actively participate in this drive and contribute to strengthening the association, enabling it to work more effectively for the protection of teachers' interests and dignity.
