Four days after a boat accident in the Raghopur Ganga region of Naugachia, Bhagalpur, two missing persons remain untraced. The NDRF team is continuously searching in the strong currents of the Ganga, but has not yet found any success. The families of the missing are also conducting their own searches in the river using their boats. They set out every morning in search of their loved ones and return empty-handed in the evening. This routine has continued for four days, but they have received no news.

Satwan Kumar, a resident of Lodipur, stated that his family member, Badal Kumar, has been missing since August 26. Family members have searched for Badal along the banks and in the waves of the Ganga River up to Bateshwar, Kursela, and Karagola. According to Satwan Kumar, the administration's team searches an area of approximately 12 kilometers and then returns, while the family members continue their search beyond that range. The family still hopes that Badal might be found on some riverbank.

Local villager Akhilesh Mandal has demanded that the government provide compensation of 50 lakh rupees to the families of both missing persons. He also appealed for a government job for one member from each family to prevent them from facing a livelihood crisis. Rajendra Yadav, president of Azad Hind Morcha, said that the threat of floods was already clear. He suggested that if strict measures had been taken in time, the situation might have been avoided. He expressed concern that due to the rising water level of the Ganga, villagers' homes are being destroyed, and many families are becoming homeless. Villagers Reena Devi and Shobha Devi mentioned that people are vacating their homes as per administrative instructions. However, amid rain and floods, poor families face a major challenge in finding shelter with children, the elderly, and livestock.
