In view of the intense erosion threat at Raghopur Dam near Rangra Chowk in Bhagalpur, the District Magistrate and Naugachhia Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Sharma visited the site on Sunday to assess the situation. Officials conducted an on-site inspection of the dam and evaluated the severity of the erosion. During their visit, they also interacted with the local villagers, listening to their concerns and fears.

Given the critical condition of the dam, the administration has promptly initiated precautionary measures and commenced relief and rescue operations. Essential materials and resources have been provided at potential erosion sites. Additionally, officials and personnel have been instructed to maintain continuous vigilance. The administrative team is constantly monitoring the dam's condition to ensure swift action in case of increased water pressure or accelerated erosion.

The District Magistrate gathered detailed information from the officials present regarding the current status of the dam, water pressure, and ongoing efforts to prevent erosion. He assured the villagers that the administration is fully alert and all necessary preparations are being made to handle any emergency. Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Sharma also reviewed the security arrangements at the site, directing police officers to maintain strict vigilance in sensitive areas and be prepared to evacuate villagers to safe locations if required.
