Darbhanga: Administrative activities have intensified towards revitalizing the Raiyam Sugar Mill area. On Thursday, Sugarcane Officer Pushkar Raj and Assistant Director, Sugarcane Development, Ajit Kumar Prasad, along with a technical team from Nirani Group (Riga Sugar Mill), jointly visited the Raiyam (Darbhanga) and Sakri (Madhubani) regions. During the visit, officials assessed the current situation of the sugar mill area and held detailed discussions on various aspects with the technical team.

Alongside the inspection, an anti-encroachment drive was initiated to clear the Raiyam Sugar Mill premises, with the cooperation of the Circle Officer of Keoti. Administrative officials clarified that this process of removing encroachments from the sugar mill area would continue. The primary objective is to make essential land available for proposed development works in the future. Other officials from the concerned department and members of the technical team were also present during the inspection. This initiative is bolstering the prospects of the sugar mill's revival in the region.
