The main road connecting Raniganj block headquarters to Jadia via Sokela in Araria district is in an extremely dilapidated condition. Due to a lack of repairs for a long time, large potholes have formed on the road, causing significant inconvenience to commuters. This road is a vital link in the region, with hundreds of small and large vehicles traversing it daily.

The situation is particularly dire near Ward No. 7 of Raniganj Nagar Panchayat, where deep potholes make two-wheeler and four-wheeler travel extremely risky. Several drivers have lost control and met with accidents due to these potholes. During the rainy season, these potholes fill with water, making it difficult to estimate their actual depth, further increasing the risk of accidents. The lack of adequate street lighting at night exacerbates the problem.

According to local residents, school children, ambulances transporting patients, and daily commuters are the most affected by the road's poor condition. Vehicles providing essential services also frequently face delays. Villagers report that they have repeatedly complained to the local administration and public representatives about the road's disrepair and waterlogging, but no concrete steps have been taken yet, leading to widespread resentment among the people.

Residents have urged the concerned department and the district administration to expedite the repair and reconstruction of this road. They have warned that if the issue is not resolved soon, they will be forced to launch protests. The local community's priority is to have the road fixed to ensure safe and smooth commuting.
