An accused in a significant case of rape and blackmail, who had been absconding from Sheikhpura district in Bihar, has been arrested from Sikar, Rajasthan. The accused, identified as Mohammad Istiaq, had been evading the police for several days. A special team from Sheikhpura police, dressed in plain clothes, reached Sikar and apprehended him from a brick kiln where he was hiding after changing his appearance.

The case came to light when a woman filed an FIR at the Sheikhpura Mahila Thana (Women's Police Station) against Mohammad Istiaq, accusing him of rape and blackmail. In her complaint, the woman stated that the accused had raped her and then started blackmailing her with objectionable photos and videos. The woman was in shock after the incident and sought justice.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Sheikhpura Superintendent of Police immediately formed an investigation team. Based on technical evidence and secret information, the police traced the accused to Sikar, Rajasthan. To evade the police, the accused had changed his identity and appearance and was working as a laborer at a brick kiln.

The Sheikhpura police team, acting with discretion and secrecy, raided Sikar. The plainclothes team, with the help of local police, arrested the accused from the brick kiln. After the arrest, he has been brought to Sheikhpura on transit remand for further interrogation. Police state that there is strong evidence against the accused, and he will be presented in court soon. This arrest has brought hope for justice to the victim.
