The Rega sugar mill, part of the Nirani Group, recently held a traditional boiler puja with Vedic chants as part of its preparations for the upcoming crushing season. Acharya Ras Bihari conducted the rituals, and the mill's Chief General Manager, Sanjeet Kumar, performed the puja, praying for a successful and smooth operational season. The event fostered a spiritual atmosphere within the mill premises, with officials and employees from various departments in attendance.

Amarendra Kumar Singh, the Chief Cane Manager, announced that preparations for the crushing season are in full swing. The mill is expected to commence operations after the Chhath festival, specifically after November 15th. This year, the mill management has set an ambitious target of crushing 40 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Achieving this goal will heavily rely on the cooperation of farmers. To ensure adequate cane supply, farmers have been urged to cultivate sugarcane on time and expand their cultivation areas.

Singh emphasized that a successful crushing season hinges on strong coordination between the sugar mill and sugarcane farmers. The mill management is undertaking all necessary preparations and focusing on farmer participation. He expressed optimism that with the support of farmers, significant progress towards the 40 lakh quintal target will be made. With an anticipated increase in sugarcane cultivation in several areas, the mill expects sufficient cane supply, providing farmers with opportunities to sell their produce. Farmers have been encouraged to prioritize sugarcane cultivation and adhere to prescribed agricultural techniques for better yields.
