In a significant action against illicit liquor, Rosera police in Samastipur district seized six boxes of liquor from a pickup vehicle late Monday night. The incident occurred near the Registry Office, where police had set up a vigil based on a tip-off.

Rosera Station House Officer (SHO) Lalbabu Kumar received information regarding the transportation of a liquor consignment. Acting on this intelligence, a police team was deployed near the Registry Office. A suspicious pickup vehicle was intercepted and searched, leading to the discovery of six boxes of alcohol. The police promptly arrested the driver of the pickup at the scene.

Authorities are currently interrogating the arrested driver to ascertain the origin of the liquor and its intended destination. SHO Lalbabu Kumar emphasized that continuous operations are being conducted against liquor smugglers under his leadership. The police team involved in this operation included Additional SHO Subhash Chandra Mandal, SI Chandan Kumar, SI Madhubala Bharti, PSI Manisha Kumari, and SI Jitendra Kumar Singh, among others. The seized liquor and the pickup vehicle have been taken into custody, and further legal proceedings are underway.
