Roshaniganj police, under Bankebazar in Gaya, have taken significant action against illegal liquor manufacturing and trafficking. Three illegal liquor distilleries operating in the hilly and forested area of Pranpur village within the police station's jurisdiction were demolished. Police destroyed approximately 1200 liters of fermented Mahua wash on the spot and seized 150 liters of country-made Mahua liquor along with an Apache motorcycle.

Station House Officer Annu Raja informed about the operation on Monday evening around 6 PM. He stated that the police received confidential information about large-scale illegal Mahua liquor production in the hilly and forested region of Pranpur village. After verifying the information, a police team conducted a swift raid. Upon the arrival of the police, individuals involved in the liquor trade fled, taking advantage of the dense forest.

Despite their escape, the police completely demolished all three illegal distilleries operating at the site. Around 1200 liters of fermented Mahua wash were also destroyed to prevent its use in alcohol production. From the scene, 150 liters of prepared country-made Mahua liquor and an Apache motorcycle were recovered and brought to the police station. Police stated that the ownership of the seized motorcycle and its connection to the liquor trade are being investigated.

According to SHO Annu Raja, necessary legal procedures are being completed in this case. Raids are ongoing to identify and apprehend the absconding liquor traders. The police have also made it clear that the campaign against the manufacturing, storage, and trafficking of illegal liquor will continue, and strict action will be taken against those involved in such illicit activities.
