A significant meeting was held on Tuesday with business owners at the Jhanjharpur RS Police Station premises in Lakhnaur block, Madhubani district. Chaired by Station House Officer (SHO) Maya Kumari, the primary objective of the meeting was to address the recent surge in criminal incidents in RS Market. The SHO expressed concern over the rising crime rate and emphasized the need for immediate measures to control it.

Maya Kumari appealed to the assembled business community to actively cooperate with the police in crime prevention. She specifically instructed large shopkeepers in the market to mandatorily install CCTV cameras both inside and outside their establishments. The SHO highlighted that CCTV cameras are highly effective in deterring crimes and identifying offenders. Furthermore, she urged all business owners to promptly inform the local police about any suspicious individuals or activities, enabling timely action. Dozens of business owners from RS Market attended the meeting and assured the police of their cooperation.
