सहरसा जिले में चोरों का आतंक थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है। ताजा मामला सदर थाना क्षेत्र के पूरब बाजार स्थित एक जनरल स्टोर का है, जहां देर रात चोरों ने छत तोड़कर दुकान में सेंध लगाई और लाखों रुपये की संपत्ति लेकर फरार हो गए। घटना के संबंध में बताया जा रहा है कि पूरब बाजार स्थित ओम जनरल स्टोर में मंगलवार देर रात चोरों ने धावा बोला। चोर छत के रास्ते दुकान के अंदर घुसे और वहां रखे 51 हजार रुपये नकद के साथ-साथ डेढ़ लाख रुपये मूल्य के विभिन्न सामानों की चोरी कर ली।
सुबह जब दुकान मालिक ने दुकान खोली, तो अंदर का नजारा देखकर वह दंग रह गए। दुकान के अंदर सामान बिखरा पड़ा था और कैश काउंटर से नकदी गायब थी। उन्होंने तुरंत घटना की सूचना स्थानीय पुलिस को दी। सूचना मिलते ही सदर थाना पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और मामले की छानबीन शुरू की। पुलिस ने घटनास्थल का मुआयना किया और आसपास के लोगों से पूछताछ भी की।
दुकान मालिक ने पुलिस को बताया कि चोरों ने बड़ी सफाई से वारदात को अंजाम दिया है। उन्होंने आशंका जताई है कि इस चोरी में एक से अधिक चोर शामिल थे। पुलिस ने दुकान मालिक के बयान के आधार पर अज्ञात चोरों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और आगे की कार्रवाई कर रही है। पुलिस का कहना है कि वे जल्द ही चोरों को गिरफ्तार कर चोरी हुए सामान को बरामद कर लेंगे। इस घटना ने एक बार फिर से क्षेत्र में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। स्थानीय व्यापारियों ने पुलिस प्रशासन से रात्रि गश्त बढ़ाने और चोरों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई करने की मांग की है।
