Panic ensued in Belasandi Dih village, under the Vibhutipur block of Samastipur district, Bihar, after a mysterious burning device fell from the sky late at night. The device, which had an LED bulb glowing, bore the inscription 'Made in Korea' and was attached to a parachute-like cord measuring approximately 200 to 350 meters.

Villagers were astonished and a temporary commotion erupted as they witnessed this unusual object descending from the sky. Speculations quickly arose, with some believing it to be a spy device or an instrument for gathering local information. The villagers promptly informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, a Dial 112 team arrived at the scene and took possession of the device. Police stated that initial investigations revealed information suggesting a connection to the meteorological department. However, they have not yet officially confirmed the exact nature or origin of the device. Police suspect it might be related to atmospheric research equipment, which is often sent into the sky with balloons to collect weather-related data.

The police have indicated that a clearer picture will emerge only after a thorough investigation. The matter has been escalated to the district level, and further inquiries are underway to determine the type of instrument, its purpose, and how it ended up in the village.
