Samastipur, Ujiarpur. The recent dispute between the police and the public in Nazirpur village, under Ujiarpur police station, continues to escalate. Allegations of police filing false cases and imprisoning three youths persist. Following continuous political intervention and concerns over police conduct, District SP Arvind Pratap Singh ordered a special investigation.

Acting on the SP's directive, a two-member DSP special investigation team arrived at Nazirpur village on Wednesday evening and conducted extensive questioning. The team, comprising DSP K. Diwakar from District Headquarters and DSP Sunil Kumar from District Police Line, also interrogated the elderly man who was allegedly injured by ASI Raju Kumar of Ujiarpur police station during the incident.

Villagers informed the investigation team that the incident occurred while a group of youths were unloading goods after serving devotees returning from Deoghar. As a 14-wheeler truck was being unloaded, an Ujiarpur police patrol vehicle asked the truck to move aside. When there was a slight delay, ASI Raju Kumar suspected alcohol in the truck and ordered a search. As the truck driver began to reverse, ASI Raju Kumar became enraged. An elderly villager intervened, advising the ASI to speak calmly. It is alleged that the ASI, provoked by the elder's advice, struck him on the head with a torch, injuring him.

Seeing the elder bleeding, the youths became agitated and confronted the police officer. Villagers stated that the village head's husband, Brahmadev Singh, and others then calmed the situation. However, shortly after, additional police from Ujiarpur police station arrived and arrested three youths, taking them to the station. A case was registered against the three arrested, four named individuals, and 25 unknown villagers under various serious sections, including SC/ST Atrocities Act, assault on police, and snatching a rifle, based on ASI Raju Kumar Paswan's application. Villagers also told the DSP team that the arrested youths were brutally beaten at the police station. DSP Headquarters K. Diwakar stated that the case registered at Ujiarpur police station has been investigated, and the report will be submitted to the SP.
