In Ekdara village, Ward 07, under Vibhutipur police station in Samastipur district, thieves broke into a locked house and stole gold and silver jewellery along with cash. The value of the stolen ornaments is estimated to be around Rs 2.5 lakh. The victimized woman has filed a complaint at the Vibhutipur police station.

Manju Devi, wife of the late Ramashray Prasad Singh and a resident of Ekdara, had gone to Malpur village in Begusarai district on October 28 to attend a funeral ceremony at her maternal grandparents' house. Upon returning home in the morning, she discovered that the main door's lock was broken. Inside the house, the locks of all rooms and boxes were also found broken, and belongings were scattered.

According to Manju Devi, the thieves took 4 gold chakti, 1 silver chain, 1 silver darkas, 2 silver anklets, 4 gold nakmuni, and Rs 15,000 in cash from a box. She has submitted a written application to the Vibhutipur Station House Officer, demanding an investigation into the matter and action against the thieves. The police have initiated an investigation based on her complaint.
