Sanjay Kumar Jha, National Executive President of Janata Dal (United) and Rajya Sabha member, arrived in Araria on Sunday. He was accorded a grand welcome and felicitation at Darbar Parishar, adhering to traditional Mithila customs. On this occasion, he was honored with a Mithila 'paag', shawl, garland, and a silver crown. A large number of JDU workers and local residents gathered at Darbar Parishar to welcome Sanjay Kumar Jha. Women welcomed him with traditional songs, music, betel leaves, and betel nuts, symbolizing Mithila's rich cultural heritage.

Distinguished citizens, social workers, and members of various political parties from the region also attended the event. Senior BJP leader Jyoti Jha extended congratulations and best wishes to Sanjay Jha on behalf of the people of Mithila. She lauded his efforts in raising the voice of Bihar and Mithila strongly at the national level and prioritizing issues related to Bihar in Parliament. She described the honor bestowed upon him in Araria as a matter of pride for the people of the region.

Addressing the felicitation ceremony, Sanjay Kumar Jha stated that Araria is not just his workplace but also his birthplace. He expressed gratitude for the affection of the people and the land. He further emphasized that the development of Mithila and Seemanchal regions, addressing the Kosi flood problem, employment, and education are among his top priorities. Jha informed that continuous efforts are being made for the development of Seemanchal with the cooperation of both central and state governments. He called for collective responsibility to further strengthen Araria's position in the mainstream of development.
