A 43-year-old man, Ras Bihari Mahto, a resident of Dungridih Tola Bhuchungdih, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a cucumber field in the Chauka police station area of Saraikela district. His body bore deep injury marks, leading to suspicions of murder.

Upon receiving the information, the Chauka police team immediately arrived at the scene. They meticulously investigated the area, collected evidence, and then took the body into custody, sending it to Sadar Hospital, Saraikela, for post-mortem examination. Police are treating the case as a suspected murder and are investigating all possible angles. Efforts are underway to determine who was last seen with Ras Bihari Mahto and how he sustained such severe injuries.

Chauka Police Station In-charge Gaurav Kumar stated that the case appears to be one of murder at first glance, and the police are conducting a serious investigation.
