Two teenage girls tragically drowned on Tuesday while bathing in the Narsibhanpur Shiv Mandir pond located in Amnour block, Saran district. The incident has cast a pall of grief over the entire area. The deceased have been identified as local residents. According to information, both girls had gone to bathe in the Shiv Mandir pond in Narsibhanpur on Tuesday afternoon. During their bath, they ventured into deep water and began to drown. Onlookers rushed to their aid, but it was already too late.

With the help of local residents, both girls were pulled out of the pond and immediately rushed to the hospital. However, doctors declared them brought dead. Upon receiving news of the incident, local police arrived at the scene, took possession of the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem examination. Police stated that an investigation into the matter is underway and family members are being questioned.

This incident once again highlights the lack of safety measures around water bodies. In rural areas, children are often seen playing or bathing alone near ponds and reservoirs, where the risk of such accidents due to deep water remains high.
