जिला बाल संरक्षण इकाई द्वारा जारी रिक्तियों के अनुसार, कुल 20 पदों को विभिन्न आरक्षित श्रेणियों में विभाजित किया गया है। इनमें अनुसूचित जाति के लिए पांच, अनुसूचित जनजाति के लिए तीन, पिछड़ा वर्ग के लिए चार, अत्यंत पिछड़ा वर्ग के लिए चार और अनारक्षित वर्ग के लिए चार पद शामिल हैं।
इन पदों पर आवेदन करने के लिए अभ्यर्थियों के पास सामाजिक कार्य (एमएसडब्ल्यू), समाजशास्त्र, मनोविज्ञान, बाल विकास अथवा संबंधित विषयों में स्नातक या स्नातकोत्तर की डिग्री होना आवश्यक है। बाल संरक्षण, बाल कल्याण, बाल अधिकार, किशोर न्याय और इससे जुड़े क्षेत्रों में कार्य करने का अनुभव रखने वाले अभ्यर्थियों को चयन में प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी।
आवेदन करने वाले अभ्यर्थियों की न्यूनतम आयु 30 वर्ष और अधिकतम आयु 65 वर्ष निर्धारित की गई है। आयु की गणना 1 जुलाई 2026 के आधार पर की जाएगी। आवेदन के लिए अभ्यर्थी का भारत का नागरिक होने के साथ-साथ सारण जिले का निवासी होना अनिवार्य है। अभ्यर्थी का पूर्ववृत्त स्वच्छ होना चाहिए और उसे किसी आपराधिक मामले में दोषसिद्ध नहीं होना चाहिए।
