सारण जिले के परसा थाना पुलिस ने चोरी के एक मामले में पिछले 22 वर्षों से फरार चल रहे एक वारंटी को गिरफ्तार किया है। गिरफ्तार आरोपी की पहचान परसा थाना क्षेत्र के बनकेरवा गांव निवासी अवधेश राय के रूप में हुई है, जो स्वर्गीय रामध्यान राय के पुत्र हैं।
पुलिस के अनुसार, अवधेश राय के खिलाफ थाना कांड संख्या 12/2004 में चोरी के आरोप में वारंट जारी किया गया था। वारंट जारी होने के बाद से ही वह लगातार फरार चल रहा था और पुलिस की गिरफ्त से बच रहा था। पुलिस को गुप्त सूचना मिली थी कि अवधेश राय बनकेरवा गांव में मौजूद है। इसी सूचना के आधार पर परसा थानाध्यक्ष ओमप्रकाश के नेतृत्व में एक पुलिस टीम ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए छापेमारी की और आरोपी को उसके गांव से गिरफ्तार कर लिया।
गिरफ्तारी के बाद, अवधेश राय को परसा थाना लाया गया, जहाँ आवश्यक कानूनी औपचारिकताएं पूरी की गईं। शनिवार को उसे छपरा व्यवहार न्यायालय में पेश किया गया, जहाँ न्यायालय के आदेश पर उसे न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है। थानाध्यक्ष ओमप्रकाश ने बताया कि क्षेत्र में फरार वारंटियों और अपराधियों की गिरफ्तारी के लिए पुलिस का अभियान लगातार जारी है। उन्होंने यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि पुलिस अपराधियों के खिलाफ अपनी कार्रवाई आगे भी जारी रखेगी ताकि क्षेत्र में कानून-व्यवस्था बनी रहे और अपराध पर अंकुश लगाया जा सके। यह गिरफ्तारी पुलिस के इसी अभियान का हिस्सा है।
Saran district police have arrested a warrant holder who had been absconding for 22 years in connection with a theft case. The arrested accused has been identified as Awadhesh Rai, son of the late Ramdhyan Rai, a resident of Bankerva village under Parsa police station.
According to the police, an arrest warrant was issued against Awadhesh Rai in Thana Case No. 12/2004 for theft. He had been on the run ever since the warrant was issued, evading police capture. Acting on a tip-off that Awadhesh Rai was present in Bankerva village, a police team led by Parsa Station House Officer (SHO) Omprakash conducted a raid and apprehended him from his village.
Following his arrest, Awadhesh Rai was brought to Parsa police station, where necessary legal procedures were completed. On Saturday, he was produced before the Chhapra Civil Court, which ordered his remand to judicial custody. SHO Omprakash stated that the police's campaign to apprehend absconding warrant holders and criminals in the area is ongoing. He further emphasized that the police would continue their action against criminals to maintain law and order and curb crime in the region. This arrest is part of the ongoing police operation.
